State Spindle Sander Parts

I was also in need of peripherals for my State B-4 (spindles) so I recently gave it a shot and called Andy at State (it took me many tries before he answered). When I finally got him, Andy told me that he will be on vacation until the end the month, but indicated that when he returns, he will be teaming up with his part-time CNC employee to manufacture parts for his sanders (spindles specifically - although he only specified spindles because of my request). I did not ask Andy about throat plates, but I think it's worth a try to wait until early September when he returns and throw in a phone call (630-530-9234). I am also in need of the rubber drums, and for what it's worth, Andy told me that Freeman Manufacturing (800-321-8511 / 440-934-1902) is a good source for the rubber drums, as is Kindt-Collins (800-321-3170 / 216-252-4122) ; he also said that McMaster-Carr (330-342-6137) is a good source for the washers. Bottom line, he might also be manufacturing the throat plates too (and maybe even have some in stock) so I would definetly recommend you call him in a few weeks; it's worth a shot. I'll also keep the group posted after I speak with him in early September about the spindles I need; I know there are a few of us in need of State parts.
